MIKE PAGE : (Vocals) Mike was introduced to music at the age of ten with the Victorian Banjo Club.In the early 60's he studied singing and performed in eistedfords and stage musicals. With friends formed various bands, supporting many varied acts including the original "Four Kinsmen".After the usual time out for marriage and kids, music didn't reappear in his life until the Bodgies began.

DON RAFTON : (Bass Guitar) Don became the bass player of the Rockin' Bodgies because he was the only one of the guitarists owning a bass guitar, and has since learned to love the instrument. In 1959 he was a founding member and piano player of "THE CORVETTES" who went on to become one of the top Brisbane groups of the day. In 1963 he gave up music for marriage and family, and spent the years until 1994 just "playing for fun" at home.
That year was when he met Ray Peterson and they began serious jamming which led eventually to the Rockin'Bodgies.

ALLAN STAINER : (Saxophone)  Allan played a little guitar and bass when he was a teenager in the fifties and always loved the sound of the saxophone in bands like Little Richard ,Fats Domino, and Bill Haley .He recently retired and decided to play the saxophone in a band.He has been playing for about 5 years and loves it. "Its great playing all the old hits that everbody loves."

GARRY LYNCH : (Keyboards) Garry has been refining his licks on keys in excess of 30 years. From a background of Rock, Pop and Blues his love for music has directed him into the Rock'n'Roll arena. He has lent his playing talents to a broad number of artists ranging from Johnny O'Keefe, John Paul Young and Brisbane iconic line up of "Carol LLoyd and Railroad Gin".         After extensive touring in Australia performing in Hotels, concerts,TV appearances in Melbourne and numerous sessions he has now settled into the Brisbane region. His feel for early Rock'n'Roll music conveyed in his piano playing abilities. Like all good wines, the maturity of his playing ability can be heard in his latest musical contribution to the "Rockin' Bodgies"

SHAUN CARLING:(Guitar) began playing at the age of 16 (too many years ago) and whilst in the UK played support gigs for music icons such as David Bowie, Thin Lizzie,Jethro Tull,Frank Ifield,Leo Sayer and backed Aussie stars Denise Drysdale,Freddy Star and Little Patti. The last fourteen were spent playing a variety of music to the corporate scene, in and around Brisbane with "The Toucans". He is happy to be playing guitar and having a lot of fun with the Bodgies.

SAM CASTORINA : (Drums) Sam has had thirty-four years drumming experience form Latin to Rock'n'Roll, backing artists in some of Brisbane's best night spots. He is now happily installed in the "engine room" of the Rockin' Bodgies.

                                            NEW ZEALAND GIG

In March 2005, the Bodgies did their first overseas gig
We flew to New Zealand to appear at the Automania Car Show at Mangere, close to the Auckland International Airport.

What a blast this was for us.We flew into Auckland about midnight on the Friday night, were whisked away in a convoy of cars to the sports grounds where the show was being held, and introduced to our (luxurious ?) on site accommodation. We were glad that we opted for the on-site caravans, because, even though we were "roughing it" a bit, we really got into the atmosphere of the show.

The following morning we awoke to find ourselves in the midst of the setting up of a major car show, with much excitement and hustle and bustle all around. After we had eaten we inspected the marquee tent where the evening dance was to be held, and the outdoor stage (truck back) where we would perform during the day on Saturady and Sunday.
The dance on Saturday night was very well supported, and we had a ball performing alongside two New Zealand bands. We made ourselves some good friends among these musos, and I hope that we will get the oportunity to show some of them around Wintersun this year.

One of the greatest thrills for us was to enjoy the company of six of our local friends,Russell and Noela,Eddie and Zelma and Wayne and Dianne who travelled all the way to Auckland with us to help us enjoy this great trip.
This was a most exciting experience for us, and we are pleased to now be able to claim to be an "International Act"

                                      NEW CD IS BEING RECORDED

Our engineer, Mick, busy at work, making the Bodgies sound great on their new CD.We've started recording and have five tracks ready now. We're hoping that this next CD will be ready before Xmas, or maybe just after.

Mick still hard at work with a few of us looking over his shoulder, and putting our two cents worth in. Watch this space for more news of our new CD.This will be our best one yet, judging by the tracks we've done so far.

The Bodgies first played at Wintersun in 1997, as an amateur group at the Muso's Jam Session in the Anzac Room at Twin Towns. Since then they have played at every Wintersun, for the first couple of years at the Jam Session, and then later as a professional group at many venues, street stages and and street locations.

This is the Muso's Jam Session 2007, the Bodgies being the backing band for the night. Peter is there, but he kept in the dark on his side of the stage - must have felt shy that night! Of course, Sammy hid at the back as usual.

This was the Bodgies in 1997. The members have changed over the years, but the Bodgies continue to ROCK ON - Bigger and Better. Just ask our many loyal fans from all over Australia.

We were fortunate this year to have another visit from Jacqui Thompson from New Zealand, and this year she had with her Roger Skinner and his mate Graham Judd from his band the Motivation. Jacqui performs regularly around Aukland with Roger and the boys,we met them while we were playing over there in 2005. They did some numbers at the Jam Session and at our street gig outside Scooterini coffee shop, with some of the Bodgies making up the rest of the  band. It's always a pleasure to meet up with these guys (& gal).

This is, of course, just the Bodgies outside Scooterinin.

Here are the Bodgies at the Wintersun Warm Up at Seagulls, we have played this event in previous years and it's always a blast ! We finished the festival with a show at Twin Towns Breezes Lounge - what an atmosphere that was. The place was packed and everyone was determined to wring the last bit of rock'n'roll out of Wintersun 2007-ROLL ON 2008- SEE YOU THERE!
